Remove the two screws that are located in the battery bay, below the battery that you removed. Open the computer and lay the display flat so that it is as open as possible.
- 3
Use your flathead screwdriver to gently pry up the cover above the keyboard, starting with the notch on the right-hand side. Once this cover has come partway off, gently lift it off right to left. Once it has been removed, disconnect the cable that is attached to the dell inspiron 1525 battery motherboard and lay the cover to the side.

Connect your new keyboard’s cable to the motherboard and slide the keyboard in to place. Screw it in and then plug the cover (that goes above the keyboard) back in. Reinstall this cover by snapping it back into place from left to right.

Replace the two screws in the battery bay, insert the dell inspiron 1525 battery, plug the computer in and turn it on. You can now use the computer with the new keyboard you installed.
